Ford’s latest release – the Ranger Tremor – is being promoted as a more budget-friendly version of its popular Wildtrak X and is ready to go for those who love to hit the open road on an outdoor Aussie adventure.

Ranger Tremor takes the highlights of the Wildtrak X and combines them with the Sport series. Priced at $69,690, the Tremor is now available to order from dealers across Australia.

Ranger Tremor is powered by a 150kW/500Nm Euro 6 compliant2 2.0L Bi-Turbo diesel engine and 10-speed automatic transmission. Like Wildtrak X, this driveline requires the use of AdBlue® diesel exhaust fluid.

Tremor features a full-time four-wheel drive (4WD) system, including 4A mode, and benefits from the innovative Trail Turn Assist feature that allows the vehicle to manoeuvre around the tightest offroad turns with ease.

Offroad prowess is made even better with the addition of a Rock Crawl drive mode and Ford’s Trail Control — which essentially offer offroad cruise control.

The Tremor shares all the same suspension upgrades visible in the Wildtrak X, including specially developed Bilstein® Position-Sensitive Dampers with external reservoirs, 30mm wider track and 26mm higher ground clearance.

The full-time 4WD mode will appeal to those who love navigating rugged terrain regularly, and the specially designed interior trim has also been designed so that it’s easy to clean after you’ve hit the red dirt or mud.

Tremor features

The Tremor is fitted with all the same features as the Sports Double-Cab 2.0L Bi-Turbo 4x4 model, but is also has several additional inclusions:

  • Ford’s advanced full-time 4WD system replaces the part-time ‘shift on the fly’ 4x4 system
  • Maximum braked towing capacity of 3500kg
  • Seventeen-inch asphalt black allow wheels, General Grabber AT3 all-terrain tyres, wheel arch mouldings and 30mm increased track width
  • Offroad suspension and steering, including:
    • Bilstein position-sensitive dampers with external reservoirs
    • New springs that when combined with the tyres deliver 26mm extra ground clearance
    • Heavy-duty electronic power assisted steering (EPAS) gear with shielding
  • Tremor badging and styling, including 3D tailgate badging, Tremor-embossed seats, front and rear black Ford oval badges and availability of the Conquer Grey hero colour
  • Overhead auxiliary switch bank for fitting aftermarket accessories
  • Honeycomb grille with auxiliary grille LED lamps
  • Front steel bash plate
  • Cast aluminium side steps
  • Long-legged sports bar
  • Tremor branded all-weather front and rear floor mats
  • Trail Turn Assist: When enabled while travelling offroad and at low speeds, this feature reduces the vehicle’s turning radius by applying brakes to the inside rear wheel when navigating tight bends or turning in narrow areas
  • Trail Control: This feature is also available on the Raptor model, and allows the driver to focus on steering during offroad and low-speed use by controlling the vehicle’s acceleration and braking to maintain a set speed, much like cruise control
  • Rock Crawl Drive Mode: Like the Raptor, this drive mode provides optimal slow-speed traction and momentum on loose and rocky off-road situations

The following options will be available on Ford Ranger Tremor:

  • Touring Pack at recommended MLP $1,650 (incl. GST)
  • Flexible Rack System at recommended MLP $2,800 (incl. GST)
  • Manual Roller Shutter at recommended MLP $3,000 (incl. GST)
  • Remove Auto Stop/Start as a no cost delete option
