If you love country music and a street party atmosphere, then the Vision Splendid Country Music Festival is the place to be this October.
Held in the beautiful country town of Coonamble, a two-hour drive north of Dubbo on the Castlereagh Highway, there will be fantastic live music, market stalls, street food, bars and plenty of family-friendly activities on offer. And it’s free to enter!
Simply head to the main street of Coonamble (Castlereagh Street) from 6pm until late to join the festivities under the splendid NSW starry night sky.
There will be some iconic Aussie country music artists hitting the stage for everyone to enjoy, including Coonamble-raised Max Jackson, who is the current Golden Guitar winner for Best New Talent and also the 2025 official ambassador for the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
Also joining the stage are The Wolfe Brothers, six-time Golden Guitar winners, and the legendary Lee Kernaghan OAM who needs little in the way of introduction.

There’s plenty to see and do in the Coonamble region, and with the event taking place in the middle of a long weekend, what better time to plan a camping road trip and see all the best sights while you’re there!
Warrumbungle National Park: A 1.5-hour drive south-east of Coonamble, the famous Warrumbungles have plenty of walking tracks, fantastic views, and camping under some of the best stars in Australia.
Burrima Boardwalk: View the beautiful Macquarie Marshes Nature Reserve (a stunning natural wetland that covers 19,850 hectares) via this 2km boardwalk, located a 1.5-hour drive west of Coonamble. Great Artesian Basin: Soak in one of the largest underground freshwater sources in the world by following the Great Artesian Drive, including stops such as the beautiful Pilliga Artesian Bore Bath which are a one-hour drive from Coonamble.
