Waeco CF-40 and CF-50 portable fridges recalled due to fault

The CF-40 and CF-50 portable compressor fridge/freezers have a controller failure which has led to the recall.

RECALLED PRODUCTS

The models recalled by Waeco are:

CF-40AC VER.B - Portable compressor fridge/freezer 40L, full model number CF-40AC VER.B; ASerial number range: 63900001 to 63900550 & 64200001 to 64200100.

CF-50AC VER.B - Portable compressor fridge/freezer 50 litres (full model number CF-50AC VER.B), Serial number range: 63900001 to 63900500 & 64000001 to 64000100.

The recalled products were sold between October 20, 2016 and December 5, 2016.

WHERE WERE THEY SOLD?

The recalled fridges were supplied by Dometic Australia and were sold in BCF, Ray's Outdoors, Anaconda, Seabreeze Industries, Burrell Outdoors, Bairnsdale Electrics, Tackle World & Outdoors Mandurah, Auto One Australia, and Freddy's Fishing & Outdoors in all states and territories of Australia.

WHAT SHOULD I DO?

People who own either of the recalled models should mmediately disconnect the product from its power source and stop using it immediately. You should return the product to your nearest service agent for repair.
