Top Tourist Parks throughout Australia have dominated the short-listed favourites in the Turu.com.au and Woman's Day search for Australia's Best Holiday Park.
Seven parks in the Top Tourist Parks group are among the finalists announced this week by Turu.com.au, Australia's premier search engine for caravan and camping holidays.
Nominated by Turu visitors and reviewers, they are in the running to become the inaugural winner of the Australia's Best Holiday Park title.
Top Tourist Parks finalists are South West Rocks Tourist Park, Kirra Beach Tourist Park, Moana Beach Tourist Park, Christies Beach Tourist Park, Adelaide Caravan Park, Warrnambool Holiday Park and Great Ocean Road Tourist Park.
Online voting has opened at bestpark.turu.com.au and winners will be announced in the lead-up to Easter in Australia's number-one selling weekly magazine, Woman's Day.
Holiday park enthusiasts can share in $10,000 in prizes just by voting for their favourite parks, and one lucky winner will receive a $5,000 prize pack including $4,000 worth of Turu holiday park vouchers.
The park that receives the most votes will receive $5,000 worth of prizes and will feature in a double page spread in Woman's Day.
Turu.com.au general manager, Robert Gallagher, said the Top Tourist Parks finalists for Australia's Best Holiday Park highlighted the diversity and quality of the 1,800 holiday parks listed on turu.com.au.
"For more than 20 years, Top Tourist Parks have been offering family friendly caravan and holiday parks which do everything they can to make your stay as pleasant as possible," he said.
"Turu has been set up to help people looking to find their perfect holiday park destination, and the competition is a natural extension to this - getting our visitors to vote on their favourite parks.
"Our partnership with Woman's Day will help introduce the joys of holiday parks to a whole new audience who might not have considered parks as a getaway destination before.
"The excellent facilities of today's holiday parks make them a superior alternative to other types of accommodation, not to mention they provide outstanding value for money."
Turu.com.au lists almost 1,800 holiday parks around Australia and has hosted more than half a million visitors and generated more than 50,000 booking enquiries in its first six months.
Turu is owned by Bauer Media Group, the world's largest magazine publisher, with over 500 magazine titles around the world.
