The fifth annual Adventure Travel Film Festival will take place in the Victorian High Country town of Bright from February 14-16, 2016.
Need some inspiration to hook up the camper and go exploring? This should do the job. Featuring 14 inspiring travel films and some of Australia’s greatest travellers as guest speakers, including Camper Trailer Australia’s own Ron and Viv Moon, the festival is sure to whet your appetite for adventure.
This year’s line-up has a definite vehicle and 4WD flavour with films such as the 1935 documentary 14 Horsepower through Africa, the much more recent motorbike epic Somewhere else Tomorrow, which recounts an adventurous journey from Europe through Africa and Asia to Australia, and the 4WD-based In Search of a River in War-Torn Africa by well-known adventure traveller and film-maker Andrew St Pierre White.
Joining the Moons on stage will be Lang and Bev Kidby, whose latest adventure saw them drive a 1928 Austin 7 to Cape York; Jacqui Kennedy, who rode a postie bike around Australia; and Paul Pritchard, a Tasmanian who overcame a serious climbing accident to climb, kayak and raft around the world, as well as pedal a recumbent tricycle through Tibet to Mt Everest.
The Moons are currently travelling the Victorian High Country mapping for Hema Maps.
