Campers staying at any of the 20 newly-formed campsites are provided with access to modern ablutions including flushing toilets and hot and cold water showers.
The move is hoped to encourage families and holidaymakers to enjoy the park’s many attractions, including the various limestone cave tours, Indigenous learning at the Wangi Mia meeting place, a koala boardwalk, canoeing and bushwalking as well as bird spotting within the wetland.
The sites, which start at $10 per night per person and $2.20 per child, were established as part of the $21.05 million Parks for People Caravan and Camping initiative that’s aiming to roll out 450 new camping sites within WA’s National Parks.
