A partial realignment of the popular Coffin Bay NP campground has enabled National Parks SA to establish 19 large formalised campsites, sea-side of the main park road.

The shift will deliver six more sites (up from 13), a change in view and more room for those travelling with a larger RV.

“The new spaces ensure there is plenty of room for motorhomes, caravans and camper trailers,” said a spokesperson for National Parks SA.

In spite of the upgrades, limited amenities – including toilets and fire pits – remain.

The revitalised campground was expected to open in September this year, but recent rains have delayed its launch until December 3.
