Iconic Aussie bush mechanic and adventurer John 'Roothy' Rooth has joined the Camper Trailer Australia family.
Roothy will be penning a regular monthly column is his trademark comical and laconic style, illustrated by spectacular images from his travels around the country.
With a background that's seen him working as a carpenter, mechanic, teacher, prospector, miner, shearer, cook, hunter, librarian, bus driver, activist, TV presenter and editor - just to name a few - all over the country, Roothy has become one of the 4WD community's best-known bearded faces.
Joining Roothy on the road will be his beloved little green BJ 45 Series Cruiser Milo - probably the most famous 4WD in Australia.
Readers can find Roothy's first-ever column for Camper Trailer Australia in the August issue, on sale July 16, where he looks into the trials and tribulations of returning home after a long stint on the road - something many readers can relate to.
